Today’s evening, I studied with my friend. I call her “Sonchan”. She is an international student. She stayed with my house in the KGU home stay program. She comes from Korea. She can speak Japanese very well. Always when I talk with her, I speak Japanese only.

Last year, I took a Korean class. I have gone to Korea when I was junior high school student. I remember my Korea trip. It was very interesting and I can learn anything. I want to meet my host family. There was very kindness. So I am interested Korea and I want to become speak Korean. Recently, I watch Korean drama in KGU library. It is very funny and cool!! I like Korean movies and dramas. Korean is very interesting language and it is easy to understand for Japanese. Korean’s word order and Japanese word order is almost same. But Korean is difficult for me. I think Korean resemble Japanese, because I can hear the pronunciation alike. For example, in Japanese say “yakusoku” and in Korean say “yassoo”. These words mean “promise”. I want to study Korean and I talk with Sonchan in Korean.

After study, we went to eat dinner with other friends. We went to joyfull. I was very happy!! I ate a mixed grill. It was so delicious. I want to eat a parfait but I abandon. I will eat next time.

I think that friends are very valuable all over again. I want to go there with friends again.

SMALL PIG

I read a book. This book name is “SMALL PIG”. I want to book review. Above all, I explain the summary about this book.

Small pig lives in a pigpen on a farm. He likes to eat, run and sleep. But most of all he likes a soft mud. The farmer and his wife love the small pig. One day, farmer’s wife cleans the house. Then she cleans the small pig’s mud too. So small pig is angry and he runs away. Small pig searches a good mud but he can’t find it. In the city he finds a new mud. But this mud is strange. He can’t move!! Then the farmer and his wife find the small pig and they save a small pig from a concrete. The small pig is free. They all drive home together. Just it rains and rains. He gets a mud again.

This book is very cute and happy. Small pig loves mud. When he gets a new mud, he looks so happy. I have favorite place too so I can understand small pig’s feelings. But I can understand why farmer’s wife cleans mud. I think that the farmer and his wife are very kindness. Because they promise never to clean it up again. I like that express; then he sits down and sinks down into the good, soft mud.

This book is widely read among children. I think about environmental pollution, because there are many refuse and garbage in the city. I think that we have to learn about environmental pollution. Please read this book one time.

Today, I have a speaking class. My teacher is Mr. Charles Waterman!! I think that he is very funny and very kindness. I was nervous because I don’t speak English well, but my friends support me. I am thankful to my friends. I will do my best. Today’s lessons are your vacation. It was interesting to me because I had a conversation with my friends. I went to Aso in my spring vacation. It was so happy!! I want to go Aso again.

We looked the travel video. I want to Pusan because I think Pusan’s coffee is so delicious. I like coffee but I don’t like bitter. Always when I drink coffee, I pour milk into the cup. To Pusan is very cheap. But to London is too expensive. Of course, I want to visit London. I don’t have enough money so this thing is very important. I want to visit folk museum and shopping. I studied Korean last year. I want to study more. I was ever been to Korea when I was a junior high school student. When I ate Korean food, I think it is so delicious. I like Bibinnba in particular. I lived with local families. It was very interesting and very happy. I want to meet there again.

I don’t know how I publish photos in the blog. After class, I asked Mr. Tomei. Then I got him to instruct me in the how to publish photos. I can understand. I am deeply grateful to Mr. Tomei.

It rained today but clearing later. It was a little cold this evening. My brother is getting a cold. I am anxious. Take care of yourself. I have to take care of my health.

I had a busy day today. I am taking lessons in English conversation with my friend. It has 10 people in this class. Today is first lesson. It is so interesting. I am weak in English conversation. I think that I will do my best. I want to talk with international students.

I am taking lessons in abroad study and training, too. I will go to New Zealand. I’m looking forward to New Zealand. This class is very difficult for me, but I work harder. If I don’t work harder, I won’t be able to take credit hours. This class is very interesting. I’ll have to save some money. How much do I need? So, I have to work harder. Of course, I have to study more!!

I had rice cooked with meat, fish, vegetables, etc for dinner. My grandmother cooked today’s dinner. She is good at Japanese food, for example; osiruko, dagoziru, and so on. Dagoziru is Kumamoto local specialties. I love that. It was so good. I was so full. I shouldn’t have eaten that much. I have to get some exercise. I think I should cook for myself sometimes, because I will be 20 years old.

My computer broke down yesterday, but my father repaired. I was relieved. I have to get up early tomorrow.

My high school days!!

Today, it held a high school entrance ceremony. My cousin enters a high school this year. He wears a new uniform and he has a new school bag. He looks happy. Every year I see new students, I am reminded of my high school days. When I was new student, I had many dream and the aim of a lesson. I met many good friends and teachers. Sometimes, I visit my high school and meet teachers. They still cheer up me. I found great pleasure in chatting with my friends. I am deeply grateful to my friends.

I was a member of the wind-instrument music club when I was a high school student. I was a percussionist. I play percussion instruments for the first time. So I can’t play well but I love percussion instruments. I like to play a drum in particular. Drum is very difficult but very pleasant!! I want a drum in my room. After school, I did practice. I had pleasant days. I look back on it with nostalgia.

Now, I am a student of KGU. I regret that I should have study English more when I was a high school student. It’s too late for regrets. So I strengthen my determination to study more. I don’t want to regret. Don’t forget your original intention. I think that this proverb is very important but forget easily. KGU classes are very interesting and difficult. I want to challenge various things.

Dear Host family,

Hello. My name is Machiko. I am a student of KGU. I am English major. I am 19 years old. I live in Ozu town, Kumamoto. Ozu is a very beautiful town. Ozu has a panoramic view of Aso. I live in the country but my home near the airport and a station. So it is near Kumamoto city. It is good spot.

I love movie, sports, reading and music. I was a member of the volleyball club when I was a junior high school student. I like to play volleyball and I like watching sports. I like soccer in particular. What sports do you like? I often go to the cinema on weekends. I saw a movie recently. That movie’s name is ONEPIECE. Do you know ONEPIECE? ONEPIECE is a Japanese comic book. I saw this movie, I was moved to tears. I love Japanese comic books. I want to present a few Japanese comic books. Always, I buy the pamphlet after seeing the movie. I have many pamphlets in my home. If you like movies, I want to talk about movies.

I am interested in history and culture. So I want to learn New Zealand history and culture!!

My specialty is calligraphy. I took up calligraphy when I was 7 years old. Last year, I obtained an assistant instructor’s license.

I have six people in my family; my grandfather, grandmother, father, mother, younger brother and me. My brother is a high school student. How many people in your family? My home is a farm family involved in another business. Sometimes my brother and I help farming. It is very hard but very interesting.

I have dream of becoming interpreter or an archeologist. It was for that purpose that I have to study more. I heard New Zealand has a shortage of water. What should I pay attention to during my stay in your home? I want to learn many things. Please tell me about various things.
