I have learned four languages by now, and now I am studying language. So I want to review about my language learning stories.

Japanese is the first language that I learned, because of all I am a Japanese. Japanese is my mother tongue. So I use Japanese all the time. The people around me are Japanese speakers, may be I was learned Japanese from family, neighboring people and so on. However, my Japanese is not the standard language. I speak a Kumamoto dialect. My family are speaks this dialect. Sometimes, I cannot understand my grandmother’s speed. She speaks Kumamoto dialect too, but it is little different from mine. I think that language is very interesting. Grandmother’s dialect is old language. There is good communication between other old persons. When they talk, they look so happy. But she cannot understand language that use of young person. Language is changes all the time.

Now, we can always watch TV, listening radio or music and so on. When I was child, I always watch TV. Especially, I watched cartoons. Characters speak not Kumamoto dialect. May be they speaks a standard Japanese. It was different language for me. And my family always read books to me. So I like books very much. Always I had many books in my bag. I think these things were helped to learn Japanese. I can understand standard Japanese, but I cannot speak clearly.

I learned Japanese letters: Hiragana and Katakana from my family. A table of the Japanese syllable stick on the wall in my room. Everyday I was practice to write letters. And then, my family checked. It was interesting for me, but I don’t know why. When I entered elementary school, I take lessons at the calligraphy once a week. I learned how to write too.

When I was about ten years old, I was started to study English. There is a small English school in the neighborhood. I went to there with my brother. I learned the alphabet and simple conversation. Same time, it started the English class in my elementary school. However I cannot understand English. It was very difficult for me. Sometimes I took a conversation test of English in the English school. I spoke with a native speaker. I was so nervous in front of the native speaker that I had difficulty expressing my opinion. I was remembering that an interesting story about this test. The native teacher asked me, “Can you swim??” but I couldn’t understand and I couldn’t say anything. And then he spoke with gestures. He was very kind for me. In my junior high school days and high school days, I was studied English too. However, English was my weak point. Because of grammar is difficult to understand for me and I didn’t have a very large English vocabulary. I went to English school in junior high school too. So that English school’s teacher taught grammar and vocabulary for me. Now, I am English major. But I don’t use English frequently. I have to study more. The reason that I started study English is to live in the other country is my dream. I want to go various countries.

Last year, I took Korean class. I like Korean drama and Korean stars. I was fourteen years old, I visited Korea and I participated in a home stay program. So I thought I want to study Korean and then I want to write a letter for host family with Korean. Korean is very interesting language. It was little easy to understand for Japanese. Because that grammar similar to Japanese. Korean letter has very clearly rule. I was practice to conversation alone in my room.

I took Russian class too. The reason why I chose Russian that I thought the person who can understand Russian are not so many in Japan. Russian is interesting too but very difficult. There are the neuter gender, the masculine gender and the feminine gender in grammar. It was difficult to understand for me. So when I studied Russian, I can write only to memorize.

Language is very important and interesting. I want to study four languages more.

essay2-03a Language History

I was started study English is many years ago. And now I am an English major. The reason that why I started study English is to live in the other country is my dream. I want to go various countries. If I speak English well, I can good communication with many people.

Last year, I learned Korean and Russian. These languages are very interesting too. Recently, Korean drama is my boom. I can understand about very easy expression. Korean grammar is same Japanese, and Korean character is very unique and interesting. Russian is the most difficult language for me. I learn and listening Russian is the first time for me. I think a Russian grammar is complicated. Russian character is same English, but little different.

I want to study English more. May be, I will be continuing English in my life. And then I will use English in my job. Other language, I will be starting study again Korean and Russian. I have ever been to Korea when I was fourteen years ago. I was participated home stay program. My host family is very kind for me. I want to there again and I write a letter of Korean. I have Korean friends, so I want to speak Korean with there. I want to go Russian too. My Russian professor told us various things about Russia.

One of my favorite website is written about New Zealand. This year, I took the course of summer study abroad program. I planned to visit New Zealand. However, I couldn’t go there. Because of, Swine full. When I want to learn about New Zealand, I use the website. New Zealand is very interesting and there are many amazing place. New Zealand has many beautiful views too. So many movies made a film in there. Website of New Zealand introduce about anything; culture, history, food and life and so on. This website’s English is easy to understand for me.

New Zealand is youngest country on earth. There are just over four million New Zealanders, and every single one is either an immigrant or descended from one. English is the main language in New Zealand, and with Maori language. I most interest about New Zealand is laws. There are some important laws in there; New Zealand enjoys a well deserved reputation as a liberal and tolerant society. We do have enormous freedoms; however there are certain laws that are strictly enforced for citizens’ safety and health. I think that this law is splendid. If you want to live in New Zealand in the future, it says New Zealand’s public health system is good by world standards. There is some reason. For example, One of that If accidents happen, government-legislated accident compensation scheme helps pay for our hospital. May be this system is reliable. Another, this website introduce about quality of life, cost of living, map of New Zealand too.

New Zealand has more amazing thing. I think New Zealand is nice country. I searched about Maori before, this website introduce about Maori too. If you are interested in New Zealand, this website teaches you outline of New Zealand.

Starbucks Coffee, Kumamoto Castle and my room are my favorite places.

First of all, I introduce about Starbucks Coffee. Starbucks Coffee is very famous coffee shop. Always, there are many people. However, I can enjoy. There are delicious coffees and desserts. I don’t know why, maybe in my home is nervous place. So, it is useful place too. My father likes coffee, my mother too. They like other menu, frappe and café mocha. However, always order coffee. My brother likes powdered green tea frappe.

Next, I like Kumamoto Castle. Kumamoto Castle is the most favorite place. I think Kumamoto Castle is of historical importance. I like to study about history; when I go there I can see interest historical materials. Recently, Honmaru Palace was restored. It is so big. There is Ninomaru Park in Kumamoto Castle. I enjoy reading, play anything, talking, thinking and eating lunch. There is cozy place for me. Kumamoto Castle is so big and wide. I visited with my mother, she looked tired, but I didn’t tired. I think Kumamoto Castle is very interesting.

In the spring, cherry blossoms come out. It is so beautiful. Many people visit Kumamoto Castle in this season.

Finally, my room is my favorite place. My room is bright in the sunny.There are favorite thing only. For example, there are many photos on the wall, favorite bookshelves and desk. I enjoy reading, thinking, listening music, study and so on. Sometimes, my friends stay my home. We talk about anything all night in my room. It is so happy. I like reading. There are many books in my room. I am reading with something to drink.

I feel happy because I have many cozy palace.

I read Stories of Gnomes & Goblins. This book has three short stories. It was very cute and interesting stories. I like “The lazy gnome” in particular. This story teaches me about it is important to work.

The main character is Harold. He is a happy farmer. One day, a gnome visits his fields. At first, the gnome helped Harold, but one day the gnome walked off the job. The gnome was demand that go half-and-half on the crop. Harold had an idea.

I have a part time job. So, I think that to work is very hard and difficult. However, we don’t neglect.

“Goblin Hill” is interesting too. This story is like a Japanese old story; OMUSUBI KORORI and TURUNOONGAESHI.

The main character is Jessy. One day, she heard a tiny voice. A fairy catches the spider web. Jessy helped this fairy. The fairy thanked Jessy and invited the party.

This story is mysterious. I believe fairy exists, so I want to meet fairy.

I read The Dragon Painter. I think this story has dream.

The main character is Chang. He is a famous painter. Many people visit him to see his pictures. He paints animals. These pictures are like real. One day, the Emperor of China heard this thing and call Chang. The Emperor order Chang to paint for the temple wall. Chang painted four dragons but he don’t paint dragon’s eye. Why??

This story is very interesting. I like to draw a picture. Sometimes I draw the ANPANMAN and DORAEMON and so on. To draw is very amusing and funny. Chang is very skillful painter. How I envy Chang!! [107 words]

Enjoy!!! TOKYO DISNEY SEA!!

It was a beautiful and comfortable day!! I went to TOKYO DISNEY SEA on last Wednesday. I spent the most amusing and interesting time. I have been to there for twice. I went to there with my aunt. My aunt house is near the TOKYO DISNEY RESORT. We took a train to there and it took only about 10 minutes. I like movies of Disney. Especially, I like “Aladdin” and I love the Genie from Disney’s Aladdin character. He is very interesting. Mickey and his friends were very cute.

I rode many attractions; Storm Rider, Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull, Raging Spirits, Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage, The Magic Lamp Theater, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Tower of Terror etc. I was happy and enjoy, but there are many people, so I little feel sick.

We can meet Genie in “The Magic Lamp Theater”. I love this. Genie is so cute and amusing. I bought a pen and a towel there.

“Tower of Terror” is new attraction. It was so amusing. I cannot expression this attraction… I like this attraction, because I ever felt interesting sensation.

We saw the “Over the Waves”. This is a musical. It was very interesting, but it was a boiling hot. I got a tan. Dance and songs are so good. I was murmur “Wow” unconsciously.

“Summer time fun program” is hold in the TOKYO DISNEY SEA. We saw “The Legend of Mythica” and “Bon Fire Dance”. I enjoy “Bon Fire Dance” in particular. We can dance with Mickey and his pales. I got wildly excited!!

TOKYO DISNEY SEA has a very beautiful night view. Lost in admiration of the scenery, I saw a night view.

I enjoyed TOKYO DISNEY SEA!! I want to go there again. I think DISNEY RESORT has dream and this give us.
